Facial fillers are substances that temporarily smooth wrinkles when injected into the skin. Injection of a facial filler is usually an outpatient procedure performed under local anesthesia. The procedure can take up to an hour.

You may have mild discomfort, bruising, or swelling for up to a week. Once the swelling subsides, you may need a touch-up injection for optimal results. The duration of the effect depends on factors such as the type of wrinkle and the filler used.

  • Hyaluronic acid. This natural component of the skin's connective tissue is the most common filler used for wrinkles. Results typically last six months to a year.
  • Calcium hydroxyapatite. This filler is used to treat deeper wrinkles and skin folds, contour the jawline, and restore volume to the cheeks. Results last up to one year when used for contouring and three years when used to fill in wrinkles.
  • Fat graft. Fat is removed from the lower abdomen or other areas through liposuction and then injected through small incisions in the cheek, temples, lips, or forehead. The effects could be permanent. However, to achieve the desired result, more than one session of injections is usually needed, in addition to reloading the site to compensate for the body's reabsorption of fat.
  • Permanent soft tissue filling. This filler is used to smooth deep wrinkles around the mouth. The body cannot absorb this type of filler, so re-injection is not required. Permanent soft tissue filler is generally not recommended as a first facial filler treatment.
  • Polylactic acid. This product is used to restore facial volume lost due to aging or illness. Usually two or three injections are needed. The effects last up to two years.

It is a natural component of the tissues of the human body, forming part of the
connective tissue, umbilical cord, vitreous humor (or hyaloid humor), synovial fluid, blood vessels, and cartilage. It is a polysaccharide of the glycosaminoglycan type (or
mucopolysaccharides) that has a structural function. That is, it is part of the organic structures that attract and retain water.
It also has an important role in the fundamental amorphous substance of the matrix.
extracellular besides being an element that we find in the joints and
cartilage. Hyaluronic acid is responsible for reducing, strengthening and rejuvenating

It is a component that stimulates the skin's own collagen formed by
unique calcium hydroxyapatite microparticles. The main element is equal to the
mineral biocompatible substance of the bones and teeth.
It is used for the rejuvenation of the hands and for nasal remodeling, especially
to improve the profile of the nose.

It is a biodegradable aliphatic polyester that today is also used in medicine
aesthetic (for example, for nasolabial folds or known as the wrinkles of happiness that appear on both sides of the mouth).
It is a collagen stimulator that is used in a similar way to a dermal filler,
recovering lost volume and creating new collagen. It can be applied throughout the
face, especially where it is needed The effects of these treatments are immediate thanks to the speed with which they are absorbed into the skin to achieve more elasticity and a more positive appearance. However, you must be patient and wait about 48 hours to see the complete final result. According to age,
the area applied, the skin and the lifestyle of the patient (diet, tobacco, sports) hyaluronic acid usually lasts between 9 and 12 months.
One of the most positive aspects is that it can be done at any time of the year and
hardly any side effects.
